Why You Need a High-Pressure Resistant S-Valve
Continuous pumping of concrete is achieved through an S-valve system. This system consists of two hydraulically driven delivery cylinders that work alternately. While one delivery cylinder draws concrete from the hopper, the other delivers the concrete into the pipeline.
By oscillating left and right, the S-valve always aligns with the cylinder in the delivery phase, ensuring a continuous flow of concrete into the pipeline.
The entire pumping process operates under high pressure to ensure efficient, long-distance pumping. Concrete pumping pressures typically reach 85–130 bar or even higher, so the S-valve must possess excellent pressure and abrasion resistance.
Application
During concrete pumping, S-valves need to be used in conjunction with spectacle wear plates and cutting rings. They are mostly used in boom pumps, truck-mounted concrete pumps, and trailer pumps.
They are mainly adopted for high-rise construction and large infrastructure projects including tunnels and bridges that require long-distance concrete transportation, under working conditions demanding stable and continuous pumping performance.
